I started my tattoo career in 2011 as a full time apprentice to Johan Vermeulen at Skinart Tattoo Studio – after a grueling 2 years ( I say grueling because I was 18 and cried a lot – I do suspect it was worse for my mentor than for me ) I qualified as a tattoo artist and worked under Johan for another 6 years.
In 2020 I took a leap of faith and opened up my own studio with the support of my friends and family.
I truly find it difficult to commit to just one style of tattooing as I really enjoy all styles and I keep changing my mind about what my favourite one is.
I have however come to the conclusion that fine lines, bold lines or just a lot of lines make me happy.
The people that have crossed my path have definitely shaped me as an artist, whether it be as a client or in my personal life. The trend of super small infinity symbols gave me my obsession of having perfect lines and the clients that gave me complete freedom have pushed me to try new techniques and test my skill level.
Over the years tattooing has pushed me to the brink of insanity and kept me from going insane simultaneously, it really takes everything you have but gives you so much more. I could only be grateful that I can be a part of this industry and the immensely talented artists.

Deposits are non-refundable. If you have to cancel your session within 2 days of your booking, your deposit can be used towards another session. If however, you do not show up to your appointment, we cannot refund your deposit.

We do not, but there are multiple shops within the area and many takeaway deliveries available. Donovan can however make a mean cuppa.
